All our products are handmade by skilled artisans and sometimes may have natural variations in colour, size and detail. We have carefully chosen them all and feel all these variations are part of their individual charm .We hope you will enjoy them for what they are !

When you agree to buy the product, you are thereby confirming you have read the product descriptions carefully. Which we will endeavour to be clear about but in a nutshell ...

Gold Plated Jewellery - Must be kept away from anything wet ! Polished gently with a soft gold polishing cloth and kept in the pouch bag you received it in .

Antique Embroidered Textiles - Dry Clean 

Vintage Kantha Quilts - Machine wash 30*

Loungewear - Cotton block printed items can mostly be machine washed at 30*unless specified .

Indigo dyed /printed items need washing out before wearing .Other specialist fabric items will have the care instructions written in the description box . 

ORDERS

 

When you place an order with us via Paypal or WorldPay (our website providers) we require your name, email address and delivery address. We will then email you an order confirmation with an estimated delivery time.

In some cases, a contact telephone number is required so we may reach you if there is a problem with your order, or if your order requires a delivery quote. Mostly we will email you if we have any questions regarding your order.  

Anyone who knows the shop knows that it full to bursting with wonderful things ,mostly one of a kind pieces so at busy periods of time like Christmas it can be that an item has sold in the shop and not yet been deleted from the website .Should it be the case that we don't have what you ordered in stock we will try our very best and do what we can to find you a similar product and if not we will of course refund you for the item .Please be patient with us ! 

We will endeavour to process your order as soon as possible. If placed during the weekend, we will dispatch it early the following week. Usually we dispatch orders within 2 days.

 

We may, unless you advise us otherwise pass this information to our couriers or other agents in case their need to contact you to arrange the processing or delivery of your order. 

By placing an order you are agreeing to a legally binding contract.

 

ORDERS OUTSIDE MAINLAND ENGLAND AND WALES

 

Please contact us by email or telephone to make a special arrangement for orders and or delivery outside mainland England and Wales. We have found that issuing a PayPal Invoice for the shipping costs of a specific overseas order works well .

 

 

PAYMENT

 

Payments are made securely with online merchant system Worldpay or Paypal which accept most credit and debit cards. Please note, we do not store our customers card details within our website database. 

 

The total cost of your order will be the item price (inclusive of VAT) + delivery in pounds sterling. 

 

By placing an order, you confirm that the credit/debit card that is being used is yours and if the issuer of your payment cards refuses to or does not for any reason authorise payment to us we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery of your order and any extra cost incurred by the credit card company. 

 

 

DELIVERY MAINLAND ENGLAND AND WALES

 

We aim to dispatch your order as soon as possible from receipt of payment to the address you give us for delivery at the time you make the order.Usually within 2 days.

Our delivery charges are set out in our website where possible or arranged by email/phone but confirmed with you by email individually. 

 

We use second class 'Signed For' Royal Mail delivery service or Transglobal and other courier services by arrangement. It is your responsibility that the delivery address you give us is correct and accurate and there is somebody to take delivery of the goods from the delivery service used. 

 

If you wish to track your parcel, please contact us and we will check on the status of the delivery for you.If your parcel is sent using a courier service they will automatically send you an email with the tracking number and link to which you can follow the delivery.

 

If your order is returned to us because the courier or postal service could not complete the delivery to you for whatever reason, then you will be responsible for the repeat delivery costs. 

 

We cannot deliver to PO Box addresses or hotels. 

 

Should items be sent by courier, we will normally pass on the customer's delivery address and contact telephone number unless we are requested not to do so. 

 

We will deliver our products in mainland England and Wales under these terms and conditions, elsewhere by special arrangement. 

 

Any tax, duty charges or any other surcharges will thereby be the customer's responsibility.

 

 

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

 

RETURNS

 

We hope you are happy with your purchase however if you are not please notify us by email (info@gallery196.com) within 3 days of receipt and return the item(s) within 14days to us at the address below-:

Items should be sent back securely packaged and using insured registered post. We strongly recommend that you obtain proof of postage as Gallery196 will not accept responsibility for goods lost or damaged during delivery. 

 

All exchanged items will be returned at the customer's own cost. 

 

REFUNDS

 

To return a faulty item, please email us on returns@gallery196.com to request your refund and once we have received your item, we will endeavour to process your return excluding your shipping costs in 2 weeks, with a Paypal refund. 

 

We are not liable for any merchant system processing fees that are incurred when issuing exchanges or refunds.

 

We regret that we cannot accept international returns unless items are damaged or faulty. 

 

In addition to our returns policy, under the Distance Selling Regulations, EU customers have seven working days (beginning the day after receipt) to cancel your purchase.

We are not liable for any merchant processing fees incurred for an order cancellation. 

 

 

JURISDICTION

 

This website, any content contained therein (products and services) and any contract brought into being as a result of usage of this website are governed by and construed in accordance with English Law. Parties to any such contract agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. All contracts are concluded in English. 

 

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
