One of a matching pair,these unusual cotton double cloths were originally produced in Northern India. 
They are antique ,dating from pre 1947 - Pre Partition. Woven by hand and in pairs, often gifted as part of a wedding trousseu.Extremely time consuming and complicated to weave only masterweavers would have been commissioned to weave these. Made to be used as bed covers or worn as shawls during the colder months .
