One of a matching pair,these unusual cotton double cloths were originally produced in Northern India. 
They are antique ,dating from pre 1947 - Pre Partition. Woven by hand and in pairs ,they were often gifted as part of a wedding trousseu. Made to be used as bed covers or worn as shawls during the colder months .
Extremely time consuming and complicated to weave only masterweavers would have been commissioned to weave these.
