It is all about the handstitching with these particular vintage quilts....remarkable! These  kanthas are thicker than the usual ones.Layer upon layer of used cotton taken from saris ,lunghis and whatever else comes to hand have been assembled and intricately stitched through with thick cotton .Creating a wonderful slightly ridged texture. I would never tire of these pieces ...they are powerful !
