Handcrafted in South India ....This is a stunning brass cover ( Mukhalinga) cast to the "face" of Lord Shiva the powerful Hindu deity symbolising divine energy.The cover ( Muka ) is placed over the linga allowing devotees to "see" the face of Shiva creating a closer bond for their worship .
However it is a fantastic object aesthetically in itself and that's why I bought it !I
It is an antique from Tamil Nadu in South India .It has become increasingly rare now to find these type of fine pieces .
