Im always on the look out for the finely stitched kantha quilts like this one as they are increasingly difficult to find ,one in every hundred ,if Im lucky ! ! Kantha quilts are made from upcycling a cotton sari and any other cotton remnants around which are carefully placed together and hand stitched to make a most versitile of textiles, a quilt ! This one is circa 1950 ...judging by the print and the quality of the stitching .It has a beautiful woven pink ikat fabric on the other side so definately reverseable !
