These sweet cotton hand woven small rugs are just a delight ! Woven my mothers and grandmothers remembering their craft of yesterday. Originally it was traditional for the young brides of the Punjab cotton growing region to make “ wedding dhurries” as part of their dowry . This practice has since rightly been banned but it would be a shame to lose the delightful people craft of dhurrie weaving by women .I am now collaborating with this new revival of weaving this very special craft .
