There is a Co operative in Rajasthan India that have developed this fabulous ‘Shibori’ technique . They fold the silk fabric piece neatly then sew a pattern using a sewing machine . The piece is then immersed in a dye bath , dried and unpicked …! The finished piece has a wonderful patina to it as the colour varies in the stitched pattern . In any case it makes a very pretty scarf !
