A beautiful cotton cerise colour ,Bengali kantha quilt with bold and vibrant yellow embroidery. Traditionally made in rural areas by women as wedding gifts for the grooms family. The name 'Kantha' means hand stitching many,mainly sari fabrics together in running stitch .Each quilt is unique and can be used as a blanket, throw, wall hanging - or anything else!
This quilt is backed with a multicoloured cloth.
Note: as these are vintage items they may have patches and slightly imperfections, we think this is a part of their charm.
